Concept of Health

What  is health? Is it a lack of sickness or ailment? Is it waking up without a headache, or is it medicating oneself up to the eyeballs with caffeine, energy drinks and sleeping pills, just to get through a day? To me (now, it was not always so!) being healthy means waking up full of energy and feeling great; being physically fit, mentally alert and spiritually aware.
What does health consist of? I know it does not have 'best before' date but what is it made of? Basic ingredients are:
  • REST
  • EXERCISE
  • DIET  
Due to life's many demands on us there's not always opportunities for enough good quality rest nor exercise. But diet? Diet is all we eat and drink. Now that IS something all of us can (and most of us must!) change, for better quality of life. 
In today's world it's far from easy to guarantee that our food and drink is safe, clean and most importantly, nutricious.
Whole grains are the very base of nutrition - and they are talked about endlessaly! - but do we actually get them? There's more in the blog 'Resetting'...
